Role Summary
The Communications & Digital Social Media Intern will support the design and implementation of HKSAI’s communication and fundraising strategies. The role plays a vital part in strengthening organizational visibility, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and mobilizing financial and non-financial resources to support our programs, strengthen visibility, and fostering stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Communications and Branding
- Support the development and implementation of HKSAI’s communications strategy
- Create engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, reports, and press releases
- Manage and update the organization’s website and social media accounts
- Strengthen HKSAI’s branding consistency across digital platforms
- Build and maintain media relations to enhance visibility
Resource Mobilization
- Support the development of resource mobilization strategies and work plans
- Identify funding opportunities from donors, foundations, and corporate partners
- Assist in preparing high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and donor reports
- Support donor engagement and relationship management
Strategic Partnerships and Networking
- Represent HKSAI in meetings, forums, and networking events when required
- Coordinate with program teams to collect impact stories and program updates
- Support the development and maintenance of stakeholder partnerships
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Track donor trends and funding opportunities
- Monitor and evaluate communication and fundraising performance indicators
- Provide insights to improve outreach and engagement strategies
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Development Studies, or related field
- Proven experience in communications, digital marketing, and proposal writing
- Strong storytelling and content development skills
- Proficiency in digital tools such as Canva, Adobe, or similar platforms
- Experience in social media management, SEO, Google Analytics, and paid advertising
- CRM or donor database management experience
- Strategic thinking, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills
