How does gender imbalance affect access to education and career growth among the girl child in most continents

How does gender imbalance affect access to education and career growth among the girl child in most continents ?When a girl is born, in some communities excitement from it's mother fades since most of them instantly begin a marination journey towards early marriages, child bearing and also circumcision. Most studies have proven that many societies if not all don't see the need of educating a girl in fact they term it as a 'waste of resources' and instead empower their counterparts 'boy child.'In the olden days, a compound that had many girls, the family was considered rich since the girls would be a source of wealth through dowry payment when handed over to marriage.

Fortunately, most communities have slowly scrapped off this kind of upbringing among girls. However as the saying goes slowness to change usually means fear of the new and indeed it's evident that not all have accepted change and have held on to the roots with the excuse of maintaining their culture. As a result, most organisations stood up with the aim of holding the girl child's hand to ensure they get educated and later on implement the skills acquired to be financially independent.HKSAI is among the many organisations that have stood up firmly in fighting for the girl child with missions like supplying sanitary towels, educating young girls on sex education and nurture their sense of assertiveness. To us, we find pride in knowing that we have found our purpose in life as a team and each day we look forward to seeing girls excel in all that they choose to do because every girl deserves a chance to learn.#hksai#populationconnection#deliveringhope#Empowerment#girlsgeneration
