OUR PROGRAM INITIATIVES

COUNSELING AND MENTORSHIP

HKSAI is dedicated to investing quality time with young people. We conduct periodic counseling sessions that empower the young people with the information they need to lead healthy and dignified lives. We also provide mentorship opportunities to provide additional support for program participants.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Through educational scholarships and mentorship, HKSAI supports our bright and inspired young people attain quality education. We work to ensure that our adolescents have the resources they need throughout their secondary education and eliminate financial barriers that impede their ability to complete school.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

HKSAI provides social entrepreneurial support for young people. We provide financial resources and skills development to help young people start their own small business for income generation, enabling young people to access job opportunities and empower themselves economically.

TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS

HKSAI organizes trainings and seminars for young people during holidays or school breaks. Our trainings focus on: social entrepreneurship and savings, impacts of drug and substance abuse, adolescent sexuality and reproductive health, HIV/AIDs, and prevention of gender-based violence. The program also trains and builds capacity of young champions and advocates.

POLICY AND ADVOCACY

We conduct community dialogues and engage policy makers on different issues affecting young people including sexual and reproductive health and rights, prevention of early and forced marriage, prevention of sexual and gender-based violence, child protection against illicit drug use. We also advocate for human rights and gender mainstreaming. This provides a space for for young people to demand social justice.
